Mission Statement
Our Association's mission is to provide innovative training opportunities to our members with the goal of developing an officer's investigative knowledge and experience. Our organization strives to provide up-to-date training focused on the latest trends in law enforcement and topics requested by our membership.
About Us
The Tri County Association has grown from its infancy as a monthly investigator's informational meeting, to an organization that provides investigative training opportunities to law enforcement partners across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
As we continue to expand our Tri County Association membership, we remain true to the heritage of the association's community-style approach to investigative networking. Although technology makes it easier to share information and knowledge, we believe the best way to collaborate as an organization is through members' active participation in training opportunities and membership meetings.
Get Involved!
Our Association’s goal is not only to provide members with quality training, but to foster professional partnerships with and among our member agencies. We’ve partnered closely with the BCA to provide training and facilities that offer a variety of networking opportunities among our members. We’ve also partnered with the Eden Prairie Police Department to provide insight into the technology of investigations during a murder and home burglary case; the MN Commerce Fraud Bureau to follow trends in fraud and card skimming; the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office for tools and tips used in criminal sexual conduct cases, and many other member agencies. There’s opportunities to provide and/or host training, to become a Board member, and to network with other investigators, officers and member agencies. These key connections provide our members the opportunity to work together on investigations.
